Who We Support - Lebanon

Palestinian Civil Defense

In Lebanon, Palestinian Civil Defense (PCD) provides emergency resources to Palestinian refugee camps such as firefighting, search and rescue and paramedic services. They are the front line for COVID and disaster relief for Palestinian refugees. PCD is made up of Palestinian refugee volunteers. They continue to serve their communities as the country of Lebanon experiences an economic collapse while being underfunded.

Lebanon—Palestinian Civil Defense (PCD) GOAL - $26,000

PCD lost over $30,000 a month in funding in April of 2022. We seek to support PCD as they continue to provide emergency services in the camps and facilitate recycling centers in a funding crunch over 18 months. Donate click the button below and put “PCD” in memo.

Simsim Kitchen

In Lebanon, Simsim Kitchen is a cultural cooking experience. They facilitate cooking class in Lebanon and online, hosted by refugee woman to provide income. In 2022, they started collecting recipes from the different regions in Lebanon for a cookbook to highlight the diversity and resiliency of Palestinian and Syrian refugees, Lebanese citizens, and Armenian descendants.

Lebanon—Simsim Kitchen GOAL - $17,000

We seek to provide Simsim Kitchen with supplies and equipment contributing to a functional kitchen with capacity to host cooking classes and start catering services. To donate click the button below and put “Simsim” in the memo.

Who We Support - Jordan

Hopes For Women In Education

In Jordan, Hopes for Women is our partner organization that supports refugee women. They provide scholarships for higher education and mentorship programs. We successfully implemented a library for the Women’s Center in Gaza Camp in 2018 and have watched it grow to meet the needs of women in the camp. Our librarians continue to provide in person programs, including the monthly book club and seminars, reading marathons, open houses, movies while providing women with a safe place to have community. Jordan—Hopes For Women GOAL - $17,000

We seek to provide our librarian salary but also funds for new books, bookcases, and other materials to help the library expand services to more women in the camp. To donate, click the button below and put “Hopes” in the memo.

In 2024, we invite you to join us, alongside Palestinian refugees to create a better future in Lebanon and Jordan.
