Suzann Mollner -
Executive Director, Founder
Suzann Mollner has over 25 years of cross-cultural work serving the most vulnerable populations in Africa, Thailand, The Middle East, and the United States. For the past 20 years, she has served Palestinian refugees in refugee camps across the Middle East. She first encountered Palestinian refugee camps when she lived and worked in Beirut, Lebanon, ever since she has work tirelessly to benefit Palestinian refugees. Beirut and Beyond is built on her dream to support Palestinian led projects throughout the Middle East and amplify Palestinian narrative.

Reneé Colle -
Board of Advisors
Renee Colle grew up an Army brat, moving around every two to three years. In 1996, she settled in Colorado and has been there ever since. She originally studied journalism and worked in investor relations a few years before shifting to teaching elementary school. Renee taught 5th and 6th grade for four years before staying home to raise her four children with her husband, Ian. She currently spends her time running their teenage kids around and substitute teaching. She is excited to join Beirut & Beyond’s board.
Steve Phillips -
Board of Advisors
Steve Phillips is a litigator with an undergraduate degree in theology. Growing up in the Washington, DC area, he developed a strong affinity for the study of geopolitics and national security issues. He previously lived in the Middle East and has traveled the region extensively.
Keith Swartley -
Board of Advisors
Keith Swartley has had a heart for refugees since first befriending Somali Muslim refugees outside Mombasa, Kenya, East Africa in 1983. Since then Keith has enjoyed learning from and sharing with Muslim refugees in Canada, Egypt, Ethiopia, the Republic of Georgia, Indonesia, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Nigeria, Philippines, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States. One day he hopes to retire in the Muslim world, but until then Keith plans to continue motivating Christians to demonstrate the love of Christ with Muslims refugees around the corner or across the globe.
Keith and his wife Ethel, a university professor teaching an English as a second language, have been married for 30 years and have two daughters: Margaret and Charis. In addition, their family has often included international students hosted for up to two years at a time.
A focus of Keith’s ministry since 1992 has been the development of Encountering the World of Islam (EWI). For the last 20 years, the EWI course has trained over 30,000 participants in Chinese, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, and English, empowering Christians to love and serve Muslims in over 30 countries.
Kenneth Keierleber -
Board of Advisors
Kenneth lives in Nashville, TN with his beautiful and talented wife, Deanna and their two kids, Moses and Lake. For the past five years he’s been involved in live event and television production projects working with ESPN, USA Network, CMT, ABC, AT&T, Opry Entertainment and many others.
Previously, Kenneth worked in mental health and non-profit management in Denver, Colorado. He has a BBA from Dallas Baptist University in Finance and an MA from Denver Seminary in Clinical Counseling.
Jennifer Gueddiche -
Board of Advisors
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Jennifer relocated to Denver with her husband, an immigrant from Tunisia, in 1991. Since then, she has contributed to building welcoming community in Colorado for refugee and immigrant families. As the founding Director of the African Community Center, former Director of Programs at the Spring Institute for Intercultural Learning, and current Chief Operations Officer at the Rocky Mountain Welcome Center, she has successfully developed programs and raised capital for refugee resettlement, cultural orientation, employment readiness, and youth development programs.
Ms. Gueddiche received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Purdue University, and an MA in International and Economic Development from the University of Denver. Jennifer believes firmly in the power of social networks to create community and help newcomers easily integrate into American society.
Micala Khavari -
Communications Manager
Micala Khavari has been Beirut and Beyond's intern since May 2020 and is a valuable member of Beirut and Beyond’s team. She has her degree in International Studies from the University of Denver with minors in Writing Practices and Religious Studies. She has a heart for the Middle East, immigration, and talking your ear off about both! She also makes the weekly Friday Facts posts for Beirut and Beyond and continues to volunteer as a communications manager.
Faseeha Khan-Jensen
Faseeha Khan-Jensen is a strategic leader with expertise in operations, fundraising, and international development, with a focus on public health. While living and working in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Faseeha executed successful development projects for the Government of Bangladesh and international NGOs. Prior to working at Velocity Global, Faseeha was the Co-Founder of The Level Market and worked with nonprofits in the UK and US, bringing years of experience in operations, communications, and relationship management. Faseeha has an MA in International Development: Poverty, Conflict, and Reconstruction from IDPM at the University of Manchester and an MPH Certificate from the University of Colorado. Having grown up in a diverse and international community with people from all walks of life, she is passionate about bringing diversity into the lives of her own children in Denver, Colorado
