Suzann will be joined by current and former board members to offer an interactive online summer teaching series for three sessions.
We will address:
-History of Palestine
-Original 1948 displacement
-Arab/Israeli War
-1967 displacement
-6-Day War
-Consequences of unresolved conflict
-Life in permanent refugee camps
-Daily obstacles faced by permanent refugee status
-UNRWA
-When politics become personal
-Diaspora of Palestinian refugees
-Transgenerational trauma
-How COVID is affecting Palestinian communities throughout the Middle East.
Throughout the summer we will have case studies and follow-up to help you process this information to better advocate for Palestinian refugees in a positive and informed manner.
