🇱🇧 Lebanon – A Summer Series 🇱🇧

Confused, heartbroken, or wanting to better understand what is happening in Lebanon? Join us this summer for films, discussion, and community learning as we explore the history, politics, and lived realities shaping modern Lebanon and Palestinian refugee communities.

In collaboration with Dr. Andrea Stanton and the Middle East Justice Project, this series will provide space to learn, reflect, and engage together.

🎬 Movie Night – Where Do We Go Now?

A powerful Lebanese comedy-drama directed by Nadine Labaki, Where Do We Go Now? follows women in a small village working creatively to prevent religious violence from dividing their community. Blending humor, grief, and humanity, the film explores themes of peace, unity, and resilience in times of conflict.

Soufra is an inspiring documentary following Mariam Shaar, a Palestinian refugee in Beirut, as she launches a catering company and food truck with fellow refugee women. The film highlights resilience, women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, and the power of food to build community and hope.
