One of our projects for 2020 is Cooking Classes in Beirut, Lebanon that offer employment to refugee women. We are renovating Ahlam Lajeh’s kitchen to make a community kitchen in Shatila Camp to base an income generating cooking class project for refugee women. We are having cooking classes in Denver to support this project, all profits go to the project. Local Palestinian women will be teaching the class in Denver. It’s a fun way of engaging Palestinian culture, food, and support employment for refugee women in Beirut.
A spot in a Denver class is $75 and includes the meal. We have partnered with the Rocky Mountain Welcome Center in Aurora and they will be hosting our classes.
