Please join us for the final days of summer as we kick off our early fall book club!

Our selection is Where the Jasmine Blooms by Zeina Sleiman. After exploring novels centered on Palestine, we’re now shifting our focus to Lebanon. This will be a meaningful continuation of our Lebanon Summer Series.

Where the Jasmine Blooms is Zeina Sleiman’s debut novel, blending political thriller and Muslim feminist love story. Set in Lebanon in 2006, it follows Palestinian cousins Yasmine and Reem as they uncover long-buried family secrets amid war and displacement. As they navigate grief, identity, and abusive relationships, the novel explores belonging, healing, and the complexities of migration and shared Palestinian identity.
